About Tinnihush

Man with tinnitus

Tinnihush was developed in 2024 to support people living with tinnitus and the challenges that often come with it - stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, problems with concentration, emotional strain, and the feeling that the sound is taking over more of life than it should.

Tinnitus is often described as ringing, buzzing, hissing, humming, whistling, or whooshing. These sounds are not coming from the outside world, but they can still feel very real, intrusive, and exhausting. For many people, the hardest part is not only the sound itself, but the way the brain and body begin to react to it.

Tinnihush provides a practical, at-home programme using Tinnitus-response therapy techniques delivered through guided audio sessions. The aim is to help you calm the stress response, soften your focus on the sound, and build a more settled relationship with tinnitus over time.

Tinnitus can be linked to many different causes, including hearing loss, noise exposure, ear infections, earwax build-up, medication reactions, or head and neck injuries. Once it begins, the brain can become highly alert to the sound. Stress, anxiety, poor sleep, and hypervigilance can then make tinnitus feel louder, closer, and harder to ignore.

Tinnihush is designed to help interrupt that cycle. Rather than encouraging you to fight tinnitus directly, the programme helps you practise responding differently - with less fear, less tension, and less constant monitoring. Over time, this can help the sound feel less intrusive and easier to live alongside.

Each session is personalised and structured, giving you a calm routine to return to every few days. The programme is designed to be used in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, with a clear path from the main programme into a lighter maintenance phase.

Our mission is simple: to provide an evidence-informed, empowering, and accessible tool for people who want a calmer way to manage their response to tinnitus.
